It appears that with Microsoft’s release of Update KB951748 that it has broken ZoneAlarm. In an attempt to resolve some vulnerabilities in the Windows DNS Services, it has also caused a lot of problems for ZoneAlarm users.
If you use ZoneAlarm and have installed the update you may have found that you no longer can connect to the Internet. It appears this does not affect basic services like pinging, but rather services that rely on DNS. The problem, as discussed here, can be resolved by download and install the latest update from ZoneAlarm.
